Блокчейну NEM может грозить централизация
После недавней атаки хакеров на японскую биржу криптовалют "Coincheck", "NEM Foundation" разрабатывает механизм автоматического отслеживания и маркировки токенов XEM.
Критики сходятся во мнении, что это сделает сеть бесполезной с экономической точки зрения и негативно повлияет на экосистему, лишив токены XEM свойства взаимозаменяемости.
Несмотря на то, что главной целью разработчиков является идентификация украденных хакерами токенов, общее количество которых составляет 5% от совокупной эмиссии, эксперты считают, что данный механизм противоречит идее децентрализации сети, поскольку "NEM Foundation" и криптобиржи смогут отличать помеченные токены от общей массы, а также решать, принимать их или нет.
Благодаря механизму отслеживания и маркировки токенов XEM, злоумышленники не смогут продать их на криптовалютных биржах, поскольку площадкам будет известно, что токены переведены с адреса, связанного с хакерами.
Биржи, в свою очередь, смогут заявлять, что некоторое количество токенов XEM вовлечено в незаконную деятельность, хотя это может не соответствовать действительности. В результате XEM потеряет свойство взаимозаменяемости, что является основной характеристикой денег.
Отметим, что подобные действия со стороны "NEM Foundation" противоречит изначальной концепции технологии и говорят о возможном централизованном контроле над блокчей-системой.
